DNA Microarrays Technology array thousands of genes by microscopic slide spots and each spot contain known DNA sequence as probe that complementary to specific genes to determine (ON/OFF) genes, DNA Microarrays Technology have four types (cDNA Microarrays + Oligo DNA Microarrays + BAC Microarrays + SNP Microarrays), DNA Microarrays Technology require (DNA chip + Target Sample + Fluorescent dyes + Probes + Scanner), DNA Microarrays Technology initiate by isolate mRNA from test sample and make cDNA to label with red fluorescent by CY5 dye and isolate mRNA from control sample and make cDNA to label with green fluorescent by CY3 dye and mix cDNA together to hybridize cDNA with array that corresponding gene sequence and wash un-hybridized cDNA to remove unbound sequence to easy read array with laser by scanner for data analysis, Example of DNA microarrays between normal and cancer cells (Green Spot mean gene expressed in normal cells only) / (Red Spot mean gene expressed in cancer cells only) (Yellow Spot mean gene expressed in both normal and cancer cells) / (Black Spot mean gene not expressed in any cells) (Watch Related Video in #geneticteacher)
